Apple/Fish

We made apple cores! I let them sponge paint them, and they had a blast painting with a sponge for something different :) We painted the leaves green and the edges of the core red and they listened really well and I think they turned out really cute!

Our Fish Bowl! This was a 2 day project. We painted the paper plate blue one day and had to wait for that to dry. The second day we placed our hand print to make the orange fish (goldfish), then added the eye and the smile. It's kinda hard to tell but we made fingerprints for the bubbles out of white paint above the fish.

Tiger (Lion) Mask/Baby Chick

We made Tiger/Lion masks! We used orange and black string and glued them on the paper plate, then made some ears and put the Popsicle sticks on so they could hold it. They loved sticking their faces threw and making animal noises!

We made baby chicks out of our hand prints! They loves that they got to paint their hands two different colors for this project. Orange hand prints for the feet and yellow hand prints for the wings! Some orange string for the hair of the chick and some wiggly eyes that move. :)

Robin/Sunflower

For the 1st day of Spring we made robins! I thought it was a perfect first day of spring craft! And they thought it was the cutest thing seeing their foot turned into a bird!

This craft was a two-purpose one. They are learning about the letter S so we made Sunflowers because they start with that letter and also because it's spring and flowers are out and about! We painted their hands yellow four times and then I let them glue sunflower seed into the middle. Gluing the seeds on was the best part to them.

Here is the finished project. We hung them out in the hall to celebrate Spring! I think they turned out very cute :)

Flower/Clover

A flower we made out of q-tips! We colored marks on the end to add some color to it. They loved coloring and making them!

We made 3-leaf clovers for St. Patrick's Day. We did the 3 instead of the 4 because the 3 represents the Trinity. Then we just added some glitter to make the clover pop!

Bunny Rabbit

We made bunny rabbits on Friday! We used our feet as the ears, which they loved painting both this time! Then it's just a paper plate with some pipe cleaners, a pom pom for the nose and some big eyeballs :)

Ladybug/Sheep

We made ladybug feet! They turned out adorable and the kids love having their feet painted!

Yesterday we made sheep/lambs. They turned out really cute and I got the great idea to make them into a collage on the wall in the classroom (see below picture). I love showing them the end product! They were so proud of their sheep and that they got to hang up in the classroom!

The Lord Is My Shepherd!

We reviewed the letter R that the kids had learned during the day by making rocket ships out of their feet! They loved it and it turned out very cute :)

Dr. Seuss Day was on March 2 and we celebrated by making Cat in the Hat hats, reading stories and I made the kids a special snack incorporating the book "One Fish, Two Fish, Red Fish, Blue Fish."
A little ways back in January we made a spider out of the number 8 to review the number 8 and the boys loved making a spider!
